EastWestMod.com == A HL² Modification

INTRODUCTION

EastWest is a multiplayer Western style Mod for Half-Life². We chose this period because we wanted our Mod to be "different" from what has already been done by other modders (Sci-Fi, World War I & II, you name it...). Our goal is to give you an original and thrilling gaming experience.

ONCE UPON A TIME... in EastWest!

The action takes place somewhere between Texas and Mexico, in 1886. Colts and Winchesters were equiped with cartridges, thus they could be reloaded very quickly. Men were starting to use electricity. This period of the Far West gives us a large choice of places and stories to implement in the Mod.

EastWest will take you to various places such as dark mines, ghost towns, luxurious cities… Through this journey, you’ll be able to play with a dozen authentic weapons, and have fun with them!

GAMEPLAYS

Several gameplays will be available, some of them are original ones:

FaceToFace : a duel between two players, just like in the old Western movies! It will take place in small maps, and the rounds won’t last more than a minute.
CaptureTheChicken : it looks like the classic CaptureTheFlag, except that you have to catch... a running chicken!
ChickenMassacre : exterminate every single chicken in the country within a limited amount of time. Best way to eradicate Bird Flu ever!
Deathmatch : rules are simples, kill the other players!
Team Deathmatch : kill the players from the oppposite team! The maps should be slightly different from classic Team Deathmatch maps, to add a little spice.
Assault : defend or attack a well defended place, choose your side! This mode is one of our priorities. The Assault maps will combine thrilling landscapes and an interesting gameplay. You’ll be able to attack a place from different sides. Thus, the defenders will feel panic! Both teams will need strategy to win.

This project includes weapons that were used at that time (Colt, Whinchester, Stallion, Gatling Wink ...). The characters will be true cowboys, desperados, and such. We may add some fun stuff in the game, we won’t say more for now.
